    Does anyone know how I can go about extracting files from the common.mpq archive? I've tried WinMPQ but it doesn't appear to work on a file this big (it's about 4GB).

    Any ideas? Would be a great help :)

    Also, while I'm at it, does anyone know of a working BLP to JPG (or any other format) converter? I'm trying to extract and convert item icons from the mpq archives.

    Hey,

    you may use my MpqViewer based on C# an .NET2.0 (http://www.sourcepeek.com/wiki/MpqViewer), I have an improved version here at my pc which automatically converts .blp to .png files, when you export them also you can automize it using LUA scripting language... if you want i will upload it temporarily to a filehosting site

    I recommend MPQEdit by Zezula personally, it's kind of a pain to configure but it's the most stable, reliable and up-to-date i could find.

    so, well, I spend 2 weeks on holidays and couldn't follow this thread here

    but I've uploaded it to curse now with a basic documentation, feel free to ask me if something isn't clearly documented

    Seems to be working now. May have been a bug over the weekend. Let me know if theres more problems :)
